Tea Garden in Arvada

I live close by but I've lived all over the Denver metro area and this place as far as American Chinese food is the best in the metro. I've cycled though their dishes with my roomie as we each get something different each time. It's about the only place where their twice cooked pork comes out well. The staff are friendly and courteous and for the most part prompt. Definitely suggest coming to check it out if you're hungry and in the area.

I order from here all the time and although the food is awesome, this is the third time I’ve gotten the wrong soup in my takeout and had to go back. When I mentioned this to the lady who runs the place she told me I ordered it wrong every time and it was my fault not hers. We used to order from them a couple times a month and I will no longer go back if this is the treatment I get. Very disappointed in them.

Wednesday, April 8, 2020 - Restaurant is currently closed due to virus. There is a handwritten sign on the door. Says they will update Google when they “have more information”, but as you can see they do not indicate that they’re closed. Sad😢

Friendly staff, great food

Expensive and really bland we tried fried chicken, duck, orange chicken, and egg drop soup.

Love their food. Cashew chicken was a bit TOO SALTY but otherwise really great. Love their egg drop soup above all others and great appetizers, yum!

This is our neighborhood place and is by far our favorite Chinese restaurant! Everything is always fresh and delicious.They are also doing an excellent job with COVID- probably the restaurant I feel the safest getting takeout from during the pandemic.

The food is always good and hot. The wait staff who have served us in the times we have been there, are always very accommodating and nice. Never had a bad meal or service at the Tea Garden.

Part of the regular dinner rotation. Good Chinese food at reasonable prices. Family run.

I'd like to know what happened the tea garden used to be the best I have taken out twice and the first time it made me sick and the second the sesmie chicken was so over fried it was dehydrated I think it is time for my family to try other places how sad we have been dining there for twenty years

Fast and food is good, so is service.

This place is the best Chinese in Arvada. Blows the Sheridan Cafe away. lol I prefer to dine in always at Chinese restaurants when I can. Our waiter every time we come in is Dong. He is awesome. Very friendly and fast. The food is fresh and the sauces are on point. Nothing I have had here is bad. Love it!!

We got takeout. It was ready on time and they checked with me to be sure the order was correct. It was. Each dish was quite large and the flavor was very good. I'll be back

We were excited to try this place based on all the excellent reviews, but were unfortunately disappointed. The service was decent. The food left much to be desired. The crab rangoons were basic, not amazing as people described in previous reviews. We ordered general tso chicken, which had no spice, despite being labeled as spicy in the menu. We also tried the pineapple chicken, which smelled like a combo of Frank's red hot and sweet and sour sauce. The best part of the meal was the hot tea, served at the beginning of the meal.

Been looking for a place like this for awhile. Not too fancy, but excellent food and service.

This restaurant has excellent service and delicious food. The tea is deliciously steeped and the wontons are fried to perfection. I've been frequenting this restaurant for years and it never disappoints!

Amazing Chinese food. Been here a couple of times and been spectacular every visit. Service is great, and so is all the food weve had. Honestly the best Chinese food around hands down. Ill drive out of my way to come eat here.

Best Chinese take out we have found around Denver.

We are thoroughly impressed with this Chinese food restaurant, we ordered delivery of some cliches, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, chicken fried rice... Wowzers yum! For those trying to compare this Chinese restaurant or well any Chinese restaurant to a nationwide top 10 standard, that obviously isn't the normal standard you would apply with any boutique restaurant in Denver metropolitan area. That said be fair. In our opinion it is a top five within Denver metropolitan for classic Chinese fare. We are your typical vagabond foodies.

The general tso was so bland and soggy. Won’t be back.

Sushi rolls and Sashimi were well portioned and very tasteful. No need for changes here. Again, they are not a chain restaurant and do things THEIR way. Change is good and encouraged in my book....along with creativity! Will definitely return and enjoy another wonderful experience!

Crab cheese wontons are a must every time! The entrees have all been consistently good and service is great

Food was good but not the best in denver metro area. Sesame chicken was one of the best dishes. Servers are all friendly and caters to your needs.

I have been going here for years. Fabulous food, wonderful staff, I highly recommend.

If you're going to go to somewhere to get Chinese food this is definitely one of those places you want to go. It reminds me of the Chinese restaurant in my hometown when I was a child called Ding how. The hot tea comes first and it's so good that you don't even want to get something else besides food is food so fantastic that you can't eat all of it because there's enough to fill you up and still have another meal.

The staff was friendly and the food is amazing. I got the beef lo mein and wanton soup. It was delicious and we will be coming back soon.

Wow so this is where all the locals go. This is the best restaurant in Arvada that I have discovered thus far. Great service, food is delicious and HOT. Good prices. Wife and I will be coming back.

Food is always delicious and the service outstanding! We do take out as much or more than eating in the restaurant. Either way, all the staff is exceptional. Food is hot and our takeout order is usually ready before we have time to drive to the restaurant. Friendly, casual and family oriented. The Tea Garden is our favorite Chinese restaurant. We have many restaurants closer to home but this one is definitely worth the drive.

I grew up a few blocks from this place. Every time I've been in - maybe 6 or 7 times a year - it seems more and more average. It's tasty, but it doesn't really stand out as "Wow this is the best Chinese food ever!" Clean, friendly, average is what I'd tell people.

Literally disgusting. Sesame chicken was just okay, general tso was nasty. Fried rice was also terrible. Crab rangoons were good. I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. Just threw away $40

We stopped in just looking for a different Chinese restaurant than we normally go to. Tea Garden did not disappoint . We got the Sesame Chicken, Eggplant Chicken and Curry Chicken. The server was friendly, the food was delicious and we will be coming back, for sure.

Great Chinese food.Fast, great service.You can tell they actually care about thier clients in thier serving.Calimari was cooked right (not overdone). Happy family had decent amount of seafood (most places "short" the expensive ingredients).Great quantities, we shared dinner ...& brought home leftovers (my favorite, I just love me some leftovers).

We eat here frequently. Decided to try to vegetable chow mein. The worst. The "veggies" were mostly bean sprouts with no sauce nor flavor. They also had no noodles with them either, had to drive back. They insisted they were in the box on the side, which they weren't. Disgusting dish, I'm mad I wasted $10. Drive to Heaven Dragon instead.
